The IdeaLearning Group approach begins with a thorough analysis to identify your desired business outcomes and the required changes in actions/behaviors you’d like to see. Phase 1: Ready, Set, Learn™
Before any formal training takes place, we prime the learning pump with Phase 1: Ready, Set, Learn™. Brain-based research tells us that pre-exposure to information, also called priming, makes subsequent learning proceed more quickly. In this step we ensure that participants:
- Know their learning style and are armed with techniques to maximize their efforts
- Understand the scope of their commitment
- Start with the same baseline knowledge
- Have the support and involvement of their manager
- Can draw a clear line between course objectives and their professional success
Phase 2: Think, Feel, Move™
Next participants complete Phase 2: Think, Feel, Move™. This could be led by IdeaLearning Group or your own in-house trainers. Our coursework accommodates audience demographics, generational differences, and individual learning styles.
Our learning sessions incorporate exercises and experiences that engage participants cognitively, emotionally, and physically.
- Cognitive: Do you read the instructions first or do you jump in and start putting things together? Either way, you’re right! IdeaLearning Group ensures that a variety of learning styles are incorporated into the earning experiences.
- Emotional: Research indicates that children smile or laugh 400 times per day while adults smile or laugh only 15 times per day. IdeaLearning Group knows that laughter is an important component of learning; it reduces stress, is emotionally engaging, and enhances creativity and cognitive thinking.
- Physical: If you hadn’t ridden a bike in five years, could you still do it? If you hadn’t solved an algebraic equation since the 10th grade, could you still do it?
IdeaLearning Group understands the connection between movement and learning. We create learning experiences that include physical activity so learning is fun; like riding a bike!
Phase 3: Use It or Lose It™
Learning means nothing until it is transferred to the job, so following the learning session we facilitate Phase 3: Use It or Lose It™. We make sure participants have ample opportunities to apply their new learning. This could take many forms, depending the learning experience and desired outcome. The more participants have opportunities to share their new knowledge with their peers and apply it on the job, the more the learning solidifies into real behavior change.
Instructor Led
Instructor-led training may be delivered on or off-site and can be facilitated by one of our training experts or by your training team. We also offer train-the-trainer sessions should the need arise.
